Where They Do That At?

Should we teach our daughters that fairy-tails are just that, and that they should be ready to NOT “live happily ever after”? That they need to finish school and be independent before they get married. And by doing this are we teaching our daughters that they should lower their expectations of men in general, and realize from the on-set that men are not capable of being in a faithful or monogamous relationship

  2. No way! We need to start teaching not only our daughters but all womem that men are capable of being faithful and in a monogamous relationship. God did it with Adam and Eve. He made a man for a woman! Let's stop tearing down, and teach our sons to be faithful, and that it only takes 1. Our daughters will have 1 less problem with love.

  3. I too agree with Ms Porters comment...Back during the time when a husband was already chosen for the daughter, her life as a child was geared towards learning how to be a woman...How to keep a home...How to make clothes, cook, and how to even work. In Titus 2:3-5 it gives instructions for what women should be taught...But what surprises me is the bible commands man to love his wife...Yet the bible tells older women to teach younger women how to love their husbands....I would venture to say God knew there would be some trying times and women would have to be taught how to love the man that was commanded to love them.

  4. I absolutely believe that women should pursue their education and be financially independent before marriage. As a woman you must first be able to take care of yourself. I do not think their is any negative message in that in regards to lowering expectations.
